California Energy Contractors applies TEX•COTE® COOLWALL®, an advanced exterior coating system that uses heat-reflective pigment technology — similar to that used by the U.S. military — to reflect solar heat rather than absorbing it. The coating is on average ten times thicker than ordinary paint and has been tested by the U.S. Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory, which found it can reduce a home's cooling costs by as much as 21.9%. It is available in a wide range of colors and provides long-term protection against weather without the need for regular repainting.
